From: George, W2GSS, SNJ Section Manager;
Cory, WA3UVV anounces the Gloucester County Amateur Radio Club's
September 1st meeting, is going to have Dennis R. Blanchard, K1YPP as a
special guest speaker. Dennis is the author of the book "Three Hundred
Zeroes", which details his travels on the Appalachian Trail and his use
of Ham Radio along the way. You may remember his article in the March
2010 issue of "QST".
Recognizing that his program is of interest to QRP, HFPack and outdoor
enthusiasts within the amateur community, we're opening up the meeting
to hams from other clubs who might like to attend. Admission is still
free, but because seating is limited, we need to get advance
registrations. If you think your membership would be interested in this
event, please let them all know ASAP and have them contact me directly
to reserve a place. The email address to use is wa3uvv@arrl.net.
The meeting will start at 19:30 at the Pfeiffer Community Center in
Williamstown. More information will soon be posted on our web site -
w2mmd.org.
As a side note...any SNJ Clubs having announcements or news of special
interest that you wish to have propagated to SNJ Section, please pass
them along to SNJ SM George Strayline, W2GSS. I can be reached via
email at w2gss@arrl.org - I'll try to have them posted to the
reflector and SEC page ASAP.
